Denmark

With spectacular beaches and majestic scenery, the relics of four millennia of ancient culture and some of Europe’s best party spots, those who travel to Greece are certain to experience a once in a lifetime …

Denmark, a Scandinavian country is located in Europe and is bordered by Germany to the South. The smallest Nordic country, it is situated to the southwest of Sweden, the South of Norway and borders North Seas and the Baltic along its shoreline. Officially known as the Kingdom of Denmark, the country covers an area of 42,925 sq km.

The present scenario of Denmark is replete with employment opportunities, a competitive service economy, and a strong social security system. The dazzling capital city of Copenhagen is home to some of the most exotic attractions. Tivoli Gardens, apart from their breathtaking beauty, offer bag loads of entertainment to tourists ranging from enchanting amusement parks, amphitheaters to cafes, gardens, concert halls and much more. The stunning Christiansborg Palace, which is 800 years old, is now the home of the parliament.

An eye candy for artists, the Den Gamle By is an open air museum in the town of Aarhus that is built to resemble a village in the early 1900s. The place offers many attractions for adults as well as children. Another attraction is the marvellous Kronborg Castle, immortalised by Shakespeare in Hamlet; this palace is a marvel of the Renaissance period. Tourists can take a guided tour called Hamlet’s Footsteps to explore its beauty.
